Abstract
Expatriate Russian teachers and philosophers considered the idea of interdependence of spirituality and morality in man’s culture as basis of educational process. Berdyaev, Zenkovskiy, Ilyin and others thought that a person was simultaneously a spiritual and natural being. But only a spiritual principle creates a personality, transforms a biological individual. Russian specialists in teaching and philosophy abroad differentiated spirituality as a ‘bright’ one - creative and ‘dark’ – destructive. The dark spirituality is destructive for a personality. The bright pure spirituality is the basis of personal interiorization of moral values that are being realized in culture. In culture spirituality of a person is realized, immortality of man’s spirit is ontologically expressed. The person masters culture by means of acquirement of spiritual and moral values. Decadence of spirituality leads to decline in a cultural standard of society. That’s why the main task of education is to educate the personal spirituality. Spirituality of every personality has potential of creative energy that directs personality to social and cultural creative work.
